Help Lucie
Run With Me
In 2027 I want to race pushing my daughter Lucie. She has spent too long on the sidelines — it's time she crossed some finish lines too.
Who is Lucie?
Lucie is my daughter. She has MEF2C haploinsufficiency syndrome — a rare genetic condition so uncommon that most doctors have never heard of it. It means she is non-verbal, has daily seizures, significant intellectual disability, and cannot walk independently. There is no cure and no treatment roadmap.
What she does have is the most extraordinary spirit. She notices everything, lights up a room, and has a smile that will stop you in your tracks. She deserves to cross finish lines too.
What is the Hippocampe Marathon?
The Hippocampe Marathon is a purpose-built running wheelchair — disc brakes, removable wheels, ergonomic push bar, and a low seat designed for stability at pace. It folds down for transport and comes with a travel bag.
Built for marathons, 10Ks, and triathlons. Built for exactly this.
The 2027 Mission
From 2027, Lucie joins me in every race. Every mile I train, she trains with me. Every start line we stand at together, every finish line we cross together.
The £3,000 goes solely towards the wheelchair. Nothing else. Hit the target, order the chair, start training.
Why I'm Asking
If you've backed Team Morris before — London, Manchester, the skydive — you know what drives us. This one is different. This isn't just me taking on a challenge for a cause. This is bringing Lucie into the team properly, for good.
Help us get her on the road.
Every Pound Counts
We need £3,000 to buy the Hippocampe Marathon wheelchair and give Lucie her place on the road. Every donation, however small, gets us closer. If you can't donate, sharing this page matters just as much.
